Tax Abatement
Regional
Planning administers the County’s tax abatement program.
The Enterprise Zone Program offers tax abatements on real
and personal property to qualified manufacturing and wholesale
distribution companies. The County Reinvestment Area offers
tax abatement on real property for a variety of businesses.

Housing
Regional Planning has several housing
assistance programs including: housing rehabilitation; downpayment
assistance; and emergency repair. The housing rehabilitation
program provides interest free deferred loans that are 80%
forgiven over a five year period to make major repairs to
rundown, owner occupied houses. The downpayment program
provides downpayment assistance for homebuyers lacking such.
The emergency repair program provides emergency assistance
for houses experiencing a major defect such as a faulty
furnace, septic system or leaky roof. Contact Dianna Reisinger
